I am a little behind on this post, as Brody turned 11 Months on November 19th. He is keeping us busy these days for sure! I still can't believe that in less than a month, I will have a ONE year old!
~What's Brody up to these days?
As you have seen in the previous post, Brody is now walking. It is absolutely the CUTEST thing ever! He holds his arms up high for balance, and he looks like a mummy walking all around. He gets so proud of his self, and sometimes, even tries to run. He falls ALOT too! I know if I fell as much as he does, I would for sure break something! He is doing alot of pointing at things, but not really saying any words. Most of the things he says is "uh-uh" when he is pointing. This past week, every time I say "hello", he puts his hand up to his ear like he is on the phone! It's so funny! He loves a cell phone, or any type of phone, so we let him play with two of our old cell phones. He holds it up to his ear, and we pretend like we are having a phone conversation. I love it! The other day, I was getting his PJ's on, and he was sitting up on his changing table. He can't be still, so he is constantly reaching and grabbing at things. He grabbed his brush, and started rubbing his head with it. I had never seen him do that, nor have I tried to teach him. It completely took me by surprise. Now, I am all about it. I brush his hair, then I give it to him, and he brushes it. He is so smart, and is doing something new every day. His favorite thing to do now is open and SLAM cabinet doors!!! After about 20 times, it drives me crazy! It keeps him entertained when I am cooking, or doing something in the kitchen. Meal time is not so great right now. He has started this terrible habit of after taking a few bites, he will spit (spray) food out! It drives me crazy! I don't know why he does it, but he does. Has anyone else had problems with that before? It's not that he doesn't like the food, because most of the time, it's his favorite. He is also eating table food along with baby food. We have tried: mashed potatoes, corn, string beans, butter beans, rice, sweet potatoes, yogurt, cheese, sliced turkey (the sandwich kind), and carrots. He throws most of it on the floor, or mashes it with his finger on his highchair tray, but oh well. He loves all his toys, and can entertain his self for awhile. He is not really into books too much, but I have started reading to him more.
I attempted the monthly picture of him sitting in his crib, and well, that didn't work! He's not much on sitting still these days. The picture with the "month" sign, didn't go well either! He is very active these days, and he is keeping us busy, and especially now because he walking all over the place!
