Hill Ridge Farms

Sunday, my family went to Hill Ridge Farms in Youngsville, NC. It was the neatest place! It was so big, and had so much to do! Such a great place for kids! The best thing is, kids 2 and under get in FREE! Admission is $10, and that includes the hay ride to the pumpkin patch and pumpkin. They have pony rides and train rides that are extra. There's plenty of free stuff too! Check out the website to see everything they have to offer!
They had the big blow up jumping thing, and Brody was not a big fan! He would not go in by himself, so my brother went in with him. They hung out on the side for a little bit, and as soon as he saw me, he started crying and wanted OUT!

They also had plenty of animals to see and feed! Below is the goats. Not a great picture, but the goats would walk from the little house, up the stairs, and into the other end. They had a bunny pin, chickens, duck pond, and others.

Brody's favorite thing was riding the pony! He LOVED this! My dad walked around with him. because I knew I would be so dizzy! Brody rubbed the pony's back, and smiled the whole time! He didn't want to get off!

My brother's little family!

Our attempt at a family picture...

We took the train ride, which Brody LOVED!!! He loves trains, and does the little hand motion and says "choo choo"! Precious!

Here's Brody running through the tunnel!
What a handsome boy :)

Jumping in the hay with daddy!

I love this picture! Their faces crack me up! Blayden is saying "cheese", and Brody is making a funny face, suppose to be saying "cheese".

At the end, we took the hay ride to the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin. Brody loved this because he could run all over the place. He kept saying "ball, ball"!

Chris's B-I-G 34!!!

Chris turned 34 on Saturday, but celebrated all weekend!!! Thursday night we went out for some Japanese food at Sumo! Chris loves sushi (Gag!), so he was so excited. My family joined us for dinner. Friday night, we met his family at La Paz for Mexican, then headed to the park to let Brody play. He had so much fun, and didn't want to leave of course! Saturday, we had a few friends over for a cook-out. Chris had such a great birthday weekend!!!

My nephew Blayden with his beautiful blue eyes!

Toy Box Project

I have been wanting to "update" this little toy box for some time now. It came from my grandma's house, and it was the perfect size for a little toy box to fit in Brody's room. The only problem was, it didn't match the rest of his furniture. We went to Lowe's last weekend to pick up a few things for another project, and I bought some paint. Brody's furniture in his room is a dark brown, Expresso, to be exact.

Here's the BEFORE:

And the AFTER:

These letters were some I painted before Brody was born. I had planned to put them on his wall, but they ended up being too small. I decided to add them to his toy box. I LOVE the way it turned out!

Not a great picture below, but I added a little detail to the buttons on the side.

I was so glad to be done with that thing! It was not as easy as I had expected, but I like it so much more now! Hopefully, Brody will appreciate it one day!

Old McDonald Had A Farm

Brody is obsessed with cows! He has never seen a "real" one until this past weekend. Everytime he sees one on TV or in a book, he moo's like crazy! I called my friend Mindy, and we decided to get our boys together to go to the farm to see some "moo's"! Every event leads to a photo shoot, come we came prepared with jean overalls! There is nothing cuter than a shirtless little boy in overalls! I have to say that we have some pretty cute boys too!!! We decided to go to a hay field for some pictures, and there just happened to be the cutest little pond nearby. It may a great scene for a photo shoot, so we broke out our Nikon's, and went to snapping! Here's some pictures from our day at the farm:

Brody had so much fun looking at all the animals, and hanging out with his friend Payton!
